CloudsTwo of our main leaders in our church denomination spoke to the general conference about CLOUDS and WIND. I was not there to listen to their sermons, but as I sat on our back porch reflecting on those two things, I wrote the following:

Watching the Clouds Roll By

Always moving in the direction the wind decides
Visible, tangible
Wind is not, but it is there
We know it
All different sizes
All different shapes
Sometimes white and fluffy
Always moving

Sometimes dark and gray
Wispy at times
Transparent
Sometimes not
Blocks the sun’s rays
At other times, allows the beams to shine through
Sometimes alone
Other times, grouped together
Traveling light
Traveling full
Always moving in the direction the wind decides

Reveals more
Covers up
Sometimes a blanket
Other times a pillow
Sometimes a dark mountainside
Moving together in the direction the wind decides

Ever-changing
Ever moving in the direction the wind decides

All as one
Sometimes not
Not knowing where they are going
Yet always moving in the direction the wind decides

May we always be moving in the direction that God decides
