We will be driving down to Chillán (see map – between Concepción and Temuco) to attend annual conference this weekend. We will be making our announcement to our Chilean friends during our time down there. Thank you, in advance, for your prayers.
We enjoyed a good day as we celebrated Thankgiving with our dear friends. In our grocery stores, turkey is very scarce and, if found, very expensive, so we “gobbled down” some delicious roasted chicken with a great variety of side dishes (including an exquisite strawberry pretzel salad that my friends, Kay and Yvonne, prepared – mmm, mmm, good!) Thank you, Lord, for good friends and good food!
The moon is full and bright as it shines its rays through the window panes. I look up and see the upside-down version of the constellation, Orion, in our night sky as I think about the fact that I will see its right-side up version in just thirteen days from now.
The children are sleeping soundly in their beds. They are tired out from staying up past midnight last night to watch the big pre-season, Thanksgiving ‘football’ game (Latin style) – Chile vs. Paraguay – that ended sadly in a 3-0 defeat for our Chilean national team.
Tears come to my eyes as I read the messages we have received from our family and friends regarding our move and transition. People are praying, encouraging, welcoming, grieving, and rejoicing with us. We are so blessed.
Life is good.
Philippians 4:4 (NIV) Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!
Your turn to share: How did you celebrate Thanksgiving?
